筑水，古水名，秦汉时期之前称为郁江，是汉水的支流南河及其支流马栏河的别名。秦朝在今湖北谷城县设立了筑阳县，因位于筑水的北部而得名。《汉书地理志》记载：“筑水出汉中房陵（今房县）东入（今汉水）。”
