太平洋中部托克劳群岛的主岛。在南纬9°22′、西经171°14′。陆地面积3平方公里。人口650  （1981）。由一系列小礁屿环绕礁湖构成。是托克劳群岛首府所在地。产椰子、面包树、香蕉。
